Gonda — DIG Devipatan Range Ashok Kumar held a review meeting via Google Meet on August 1 to take stock of wanted criminals carrying rewards across the districts under his range, issuing directions aimed at ensuring their swift arrest.
The virtual meeting brought together station in-charges from every police station where reward-listed criminals are currently wanted, along with the range’s Superintendents of Police, Additional Superintendents of Police, and the concerned Circle Officers.
During the meeting, the DIG went through a detailed, station-wise review of each wanted criminal, seeking specifics from officers on their criminal history, current activities, likely hideouts, the efforts made so far to track them down, and the plan of action going forward. He directed officers to treat these arrests as a priority — building out effective strategies, making full use of technical resources and other available leads, and coordinating across districts and, where needed, internationally, to ensure quick and effective action leading to arrests at the earliest.
All officers and personnel who took part in the virtual meeting assured the DIG that they would launch focused drives in their respective police station areas and make every possible effort to secure the arrest of all wanted, reward-listed criminals within a month — with results to follow.
